I just returned from Chick-fil-A. It only took me an hour for what normally would be a 15 minute trip. I thought if I got to the restaurant early, I'd get in and out. When I arrived, I found a line stretching out the door and down one side of the building. By the time I left, there were literally hundreds of people in a line that stretched out the door, down one side of the building, then doubled back around itself to the far end of the parking lot.
The lines were not long because of slow service. The turnout was amazing!
I spoke with several people in line. Everyone was kind and friendly. No one was upset about the wait. It was nice to be in the company of God's people. All I felt was love.
Speaking with some friends, they plan to visit later this afternoon and tonight to keep the momentum rolling. The people in line also talked about their plans to become frequent guests of the store.
